The Dawn Hotel has been described as Lucinda Williams meets Chrissie Hynde. The band's original music draws from diverse inspirations such as The Rolling Stones, Dolly Parton and Bob Dylan. Based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, The Dawn Hotel and lead singer Amanda Kooser have played at bars, breweries, festivals and libraries. With an emphasis on expressive lyrics that travel through states, across time, and along railroad tracks, the band invites the audience on a journey through songs that are both catchy and profound.

Amanda's most memorable early albums were Marty Robbins' Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs and Dave Edmunds' Repeat When Necessary, so it's no wonder she loves to explore the swirling places where rock, folk, country and blues mingle.
